Werner is currently the director of De Jager & Lordan Inc., a position he has held for 30 years. He specialises in commercial law, commercial contracting, property law, conveyancing, estates and estate planning.

Werner, who has practised in Alexandria for approximately 25 years and in Grahamstown for the past five years, is also an insolvency practitioner. Specialising in this field for 25 years, he has experience in the winding up of insolvent estates and the liquidation of companies and close corporations.

His approach to law is to finalise matters in the simplest, quickest and most cost-effective manner, thereby benefitting his clients. Werner is a member of SARIPA and its predecessor. He plays league tennis and squash, and enjoys life.
